Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SkillSafe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SkillSafe is a secured skill registry for AI agents. The Service allows users to save, share, discover, install, and verify skills with security scanning and content integrity verification.
3. Accounts
You may sign in using Google, GitHub, or email authentication, or via API keys. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits, bans, or other restrictions.
4. Saving & Sharing Skills
When you save or share a skill on SkillSafe, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to save and share the content
- The skill does not contain malicious code, malware, or intentional vulnerabilities
- The skill does not violate any applicable law or regulation
- The skill does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
You retain ownership of skills you save. By saving or sharing, you grant SkillSafe a license to host, store, distribute, and display your skill as part of the registry service.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Save or share skills containing malware, backdoors, or code designed to harm users
- Attempt to circumvent the security scanning or verification system
- Abuse the API through excessive requests beyond documented rate limits
- Impersonate other publishers or misrepresent skill authorship
- Use the Service to distribute content that violates applicable law
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
6. Security Scanning
SkillSafe performs automated security scans on shared skills using a dual-side verification model. Scan results (verdicts) are provided on an "as-is" basis. A passing scan verdict does not guarantee that a skill is free of all vulnerabilities or malicious content. Users should exercise their own judgment when installing skills.
7. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Team plans are billed per seat. New subscriptions include a 30-day free trial, limited to one trial per account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
If you downgrade or cancel, your registry becomes read-only — nothing is deleted, and you retain access to your saved skills.
App credits are prepaid and consumed by hosted app usage. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Free promotional credits (such as signup and daily grants) expire 7 days after they are granted, are spendable within the platform until then, and are never convertible to cash, including after passing through an app.
An app publisher earns from the markup they set on metered usage of their app (model runs, server functions, data operations, and sandbox time). The markup is credited to the publisher in full as earnings — SkillSafe deducts no fee from it, unless a different rate has been agreed for the account — and the platform is compensated separately by its own margin on the compute cost, which the user pays. Credits cannot be transferred directly between accounts; earnings arise only from metered usage. Earnings become redeemable 14 days after they are received and pay out at face value in US dollars with no payout fee, subject to a $25.00 minimum and manual review. Only earnings received from other users are redeemable; a publisher's own credit purchases and free promotional credits are not redeemable, including after passing through an app.
8. Organizations
Organization owners control organization membership and member roles. Skills saved under an organization namespace are managed by the organization. The number of seats in an organization determines Team plan billing.
9. Hosted Apps
Publishers may deploy skills as hosted apps. Publishers are responsible for the behavior and content of their apps. SkillSafe may suspend apps that violate these Terms.
10. Copyright & DMCA
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a takedown request to legal@skillsafe.ai including: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification and location of the allegedly infringing material; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing material. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
11. Availability and Modifications
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property rights and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillSafe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
14. Intellectual Property
The SkillSafe name, logo, and branding are our property. Skills saved to the registry remain the intellectual property of their respective authors. The Service software and infrastructure are proprietary.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at legal@skillsafe.ai first — we will try to resolve it informally before either party files a formal claim.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
